Hey if it's Google's advice it's got to be good right? If you are to take advice in life, you might as well take it from people who you trust and who are proven. In business it's the same thing. You want to find the people or business that are successful and stick to them like glue. Due everything they do, say everything they say.
The web pages actually at the top of Google have only one thing clearly in common: good writing or what most pros call it good quality Content. Don't get so caught up in the usual SEO mumbo jumbo, such as Page Rank, frames, and JavaScript, that you forget your site's content. Remember, Content is and always will be King...

I was recently struck by the fact that the top-ranking web pages on Google are consistently much better written than the vast majority of what is read on the web. Of course, that shouldn't be a surprise, considering how often officials at Google proclaim the importance of good content.

Yet traditional SEO wisdom has little to say about good writing. Does Google, the world's wealthiest media company, really ignore traditional standards of quality in the publishing world? Does Google, like so many website owners, really get so caught up in the process of the algorithm that it misses the whole point? I think not because if it were we wouldn't see all these quality sites pop up in first position of searches Here are some recommendations that will help in assuring that your site has the good quality content that everyone is looking for.

1. Make sure a professional writer, or at least someone who can tell good writing from bad, is creating your sites content. Most visitors simply hit the back button when confronted with bad text. You only have a few seconds to make an impression and then the user will move on.

2. If you write your own content, make sure that it passes through the hands of a skilled copywriter before going online. I usually get my stuff read by regular folks on top of copywriters.

3. Update your content often. It's important both to add new pages and update existing pages. If you can't afford original content, use free-reprint content.

4. Do not be afraid to put your content in a lot of different places. A lot of people worry about being penalized for having the same content in more than one place and that fear is not justified.
